The more traditional holiday syncretised deviations from tradition so old, and then get on the secularism of excuses to eat a whole bunch. Holiday Birth is located, not coincidentally, close to the winter solstice, and borrows heavily from the winter festivals earlier, and includes plenty of gingerbread, candy cane, chickpeas, traditional festivals and a large family. Was Thanksgiving, being largely the continuation of post-harvest festivals in Europe
